Symphonic cantata for soli, choir, orchestra and organ.
This work is one of the composer's most frequently performed works. The work is organised in a similar way to Ludwig van Beethoven's 9th Symphony. It begins with a symphonic section, which is followed by a cantata section. The two parts of the work are linked and begin and end with the psalm ‘All that has breath, praise the Lord’.
Chamber orchestra Accento, cond. Lore Schrettner; wind instruments of the Styrian Chamber Philharmonic. Kammerphilharmonie; Projektchor Murtal, cond. Thomas Held; vocal soloists; overall direction & conductor: David Schlager
