At the southern end of the Schilcher Wine Route - where picturesque vineyards are replaced by extensive orchards at the foothills of the Koralpe - our family has been working the land since the 17th century.
In a visionary way, our grandfather switched from farming and animal husbandry to fruit growing and not infrequently received a disparaging smile from the neighbors.
Success, however, proved him right. The quality of the raw material of our originally purely fresh fruit producing farm was and is the basis for the premium quality of our wines.
Every vineyard has its own aura - and only a prudent winemaker can breathe life into the vines and press from them wines that touch the soul.
