Versatile hiking opportunities in the
Ameringmassiv
At 2187 metres above sea level, the Ameringkogel is the highest peak in the Amering massif. The alpine belt along the Stubalpe includes several wonderful hikes that will spoil you with plenty of nature and incredible panoramas.
The Amering massif forms the north-western part of the central section of the Lavanttal Alps, known as the Pack and Stubalpe. It lies south of the Aichfeld in the Mur Valley near Weißkirchen in Styria and stretches along the Granitzenbach, the Obdacher Sattel and the upper Lavanttal, where the Seetal Alps border on it. To the east, it borders the Stubalpe through the Feistritzbach, Kothbach and Hirschegger Sattel. Here you will find a variety of unspoilt hikes. Be inspired and enchanted by the variety!
The main ridge of the massif is made up of the following peaks:
Größenberg (2152 m ü.A.)
Ameringkogel (2187 m ü.A.)
Weißenstein (2160 m ü.A.)
Hofalmkogel (2040 ü.A.)
Speikkogel (1993 m ü.A.)
