Nestled harmoniously amidst the distinctive mountain landscape of the Eisenerzer Alps the Erzberg Alpin Resort can be found in the outskirts of Eisenerz. The beginnings of this old mining town date back to the year 700. Its centuries-old history at the foot of the „Iron Giant“, as the Erzberg is fondly called by locals, is omnipresent and has always marked traditions and life of the residents.
The striking Erzberg is still decisive for the regional economy: Being the largest open cast mine in Europe and the most important ore deposit within the Alps the „Styrian loaf of bread“ has made a name for itself. Not only because of its eye-catching appearance but also due to its enormous size it is often referred to as „biggest pyramid in the world“.
Just as impressive, multi-facetted and spectacular as the Styrian Erzberg itself is the wide range of leisure activities the Erzberg region has to offer:
Sparkling clean mountain lakes, lush alpine meadows glowing sap green in the summerly morning dew, imposing rugged rock formations, the rushing waters of the river Enns in the Gesäuse National Park, which represents the habitat of a unique flora and fauna, perfectly prepared ski slopes and cross-country trails – the mountain area surrounding Eisenerz provides natural experiences of a special kind at any time of the year!
In addition to its diverse landscape the mining town of Eisenerz is characterized by local cutoms as well as a long-standing culture and tradition. Numerous cultural events, several attractive places for excursions, the historical town centre and the action-packed programme of the „Adventure Erzberg“ make the region the first choice for your next holiday.
Apart from exceptional nature adventures also world famous top events draw the guests‘ attention to the Eisenerz region. Every year the motorsport scene for instance takes a curious glance at the Erzberg where the Erzbergrodeo – one of the best known Enduro races in the world – takes place.

INCLUSIVE
All prices shown are per apartmant per day or week including electricity, water and heating. As well as all taxes and service charges, on basis no board. The visitor's tax is € 2,00 per adult/night (starting at 15 years). For the obligatory bedding and towels we ask for € 11,90/person/stay. Of course you can allso attend all the attractive events and activities organised by the local tourist board. Final cleaning is between € 65 ,- and € 340,- and is compulsory and needs to be settled on spot.
CAUTION MONEY/BOND
Upon arrival in the resort you have to pay a caution of € 100,- / € 350,- and if possible by creditcard.
