Spend an unforgettable time in the wild and romantic forest lodge KOSAK, located at about 1,300 m above sea level at the foot of the Thalerkogel, just a short drive from Trofaiach.
This hunting lodge is a true jewel in the Styrian Alps. It stands right on the edge of the forest and offers absolute peace and seclusion.
The hut is accessible via a private forest road. In the cozy farmhouse parlor you will find a large corner bench and a table stove, which provides cozy warmth. A wooden staircase leads to the upper floor with 2 futon beds. On the first floor there are also 2 beds.
In front of the hunting lodge an inviting wooden veranda with a view of the Thalerkogel and a fireplace invite you to linger. Here you can perfectly barbecue, sunbathe or simply enjoy a beautiful sunset.
Next to the hut is a rustic toilet house, which offers all the necessary amenities.
The Thalerkogel is known as a lookout point between Trofaiach and Tragöß. From here you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the imposing Hochschwab massif, the majestic Eisenerzer and Fischbacher Alps as well as the impressive Gleinalpe.

Arrival via the private forest road. During the winter months, arrival by car is only possible by prior arrangement.
