About the serviceprovider

The fortress is on the southern slope of the Hochwechsel, access via Bruck an der Lafnitz (4 km). It was built around 1180 and converted from 1707 to 1725 into a kind of "monastic castle" with 6 chapels and the knight's hall as a church. The Vorau abbey painter Johann Cyriak Hackhofer furnished it with a rich cycle of frescoes.
