From direct farm marketers to inns and outdoor providers to commercial enterprises and associations, the network brings together leading businesses in the region. In 2017, the National Park partner businesses and the partner businesses of the neighbouring "Natur und Geopark Steirische Eisenwurzen" joined forces to form the Gesäuse Partner Businesses network. Since then, the Gesäuse Tourism Association has also been on board as a licensor and guardian for the regional umbrella brand Gesäuse. The Dürrenstein-Lassingtal Wilderness Area has been the official sponsor of the network since 2023.

Gesäuse partners stand for regionality and sustainability and fulfil strict quality criteria. The partners define themselves through the theme of appreciation: appreciation for the region, nature conservation and the people and their identity. The network thrives on the partners who feel part of this network and help shape life in the region on a daily basis. They are all united by a common, positive vision for the future.
