On Saturday, September 21, 2024, the 25th anniversary of the town partnership between the Italian town Monfalcone and the market town Neumarkt will be celebrated in the NatureReading Park Neumarkt. The town partnership was signed in 1999 by the then mayors of the two towns as a result of the friendship between the Neumarkt Music Association and the Banda Civica Monfalcone, which had existed since 1989. Since then, the connection has been expanded through contacts between schools and other associations and many friendships have been made!
Thanks to the friendship between the Neumarkt Music Association and the Banda Civica Monfalcone, which has existed since 1989, the town partnership between the market town of Neumarkt and Monfalcone was officially signed in 1999 by the then mayors Edith Liebchen and Adriano Persi. In recent years, the links have been expanded through contacts between the schools and other associations and many friendships have been made. Many special occasions, such as participation in the Advent market, the erection of a Christmas tree from the municipality or a visit to the impressive Monfalcone shipyard, are fondly remembered by all.
