Excursion destinations in the Murau region

From the Hörfeld Moor to the Turracher Höhe, there is plenty to discover in the Murau region in both summer and winter. A dip in the picturesque natural lakes or a tour to the Günster waterfall guarantee refreshing moments on hot summer days. In winter, many excursion destinations also guarantee an exciting holiday programme for the whole family.

Those interested in culture will appreciate the town tours, a visit to the Wood Museum, or the Benedictine abbey of St. Lambrecht. Beer culture is inextricably linked with the region’s history: get a taste of the past at the Brewery of the Senses and the “Bier Apotheke” (Beer Apothecary) in Murau.
Also awaiting you in the holiday region of Murau is a diverse range of experiences that will delight young and old alike.
