Nostalgia and motorsport feeling come up during a visit to the Puch Museum in Judenburg. This year, a vehicle from the popular museum was even on the road together with the greats of Formula 1 on the most beautiful race track in the world. The Puch Haflinger 700 AP was allowed to chauffeur Lewis Hamilton around the Red Bull Ring.

Collector's item with history

In the Puch Museum in Judenburg you will find many vehicles with a special history. One vehicle immediately catches the eye when you enter the museum. The Puch Haflinger 700 AP stands stately among its colleagues. Actually, it is a Vorarlberger and only later decided to move to Murtal. In December 1962, he was delivered to the Lands Gendarmerie Kommando Vorarlberg and was one of 20 in the first series for the gendarmerie. He kept law and order in our country and was put through his paces in rough terrain. Later, the Haflingers were replaced by more modern vehicles and conquered the collectors' hearts of Puch lovers. This is also how our Puch Haflinger 700 AP came to the Murtal and took up residence in the Puch Museum in the historic town of Judenburg. Here he is admired and marvelled at by young and old. On special occasions, he leaves his four walls at home and roars through the beautiful Murtal, for example at the traditional Puch Parade on 15th August.

Puch on the Race Track

In July, he received a very special honour. At the Formula 1 drivers' parade, he was allowed to exclusively chauffeur Lewis Hamilton around the Red Bull Ring, who visibly enjoyed the stylish ride. Since then, many visitors come to the Puch Museum and want to take a seat in the very vehicle in which their idol sat. This naturally makes the Puch Haflinger 700 AP very happy and fills him with pride.

A Puch in the Interview

Puch Haflinger 700 AP: "I live in Judenburg. That is the historic town of the Murtal. I am also a vehicle with history. When visitors come to the Puch Museum, they feel the nostalgic atmosphere - there's history in the air."

Erlebnisregion Murtal: "When do you feel the heartbeat in the Murtal?"

Puch Haflinger 700 AP: "Every time I get to go out for a ride, my engine heart beats. Then when I drive along the green fields, I feel the freedom and serenity of the Murtal."

Erlebnisregion Murtal: "Where is your favourite place in the Murtal?"

Puch Haflinger 700 AP: "I really like the courtyard of the music school in Judenburg. The music school or the Jufa Klosterhotel in Judenburg used to be an old monastery. Here in the courtyard the roses bloom in summer, it's just lovely."
