I am a Murtaler - Queen of Pine Melanie Tragner

Melanie's love of her home and her enjoyment of working with people prompted her to apply for the post of the Zirbenkönigin in 2022. Since then, she has been able to present our region at many events, such as the Bauernbundball, the Styrian Spring and the Daffodil Festival.

Erlebnisregion Murtal: "Melanie, what does connect you to the Murtal?"
Melanie: "I was born here and love my home. I have a special connection with the Zirbenland. My grandparents come from Obdach and I think very fondly of happy walks in my childhood through the fragrant stone pine forests."

Erlebnisregion Murtal: "When do you feel the heartbeat in the Murtal?"
Melanie: "I feel my heart beating in many places in the Murtal, the best way to calm down is with a Zirbenschnapserl!"

Erlebnisregion Murtal: "Where is your favourite place in the Murtal?"
Melanie: "My favourite place is on the Zirbitzkogel, I hiked up here with my grandfather when I was a little girl. The view of the two Winterleiten lakes and the surrounding area is overwhelming. Especially when the alpine bushes are in bloom and the meadows are bathed in brilliant red-purple!"
