I bin a Murtaler – Pinolit Magnesit

  • 2 minutes of reading time
Today we would like to introduce you to a Murtaler with a stony heart but with a lot of heartbeat. Pinolite magnesite is a rare mineral and is found in Hohentauern. However, it likes to travel through the Murtal and stops at Edelsteine Krampl at Weißkirchen, where it is processed into a wide variety of products.

Wonder of Nature

Many positive properties are attributed to pinolite magnesite, it is rich in magnesium and has a purifying and detoxifying effect. Of course, it cannot replace a doctor, but at least it has a supporting effect. Edelsteine Krampl in Weißkirchen in Murtal uses these powers and enriches a water stone mixture with pinolite magnesite. The stones can simply be put into a water jug and poured over with drinking water. However, this is not the only field of application for this beautiful Murtal stone. Mortars, incense bowls, key rings and stone bowls are made from the grey-white marbled treasure in pure handicraft. As a stone ice cube, it cools every refreshing summer drink.

Zirbenland Jewellery

The pinolite magnesite from Hohentauern is particularly radiant in combination with calcite from Maria Buch and magnesite as Swiss stone pine jewellery. As a necklace, bracelet, ring or earrings, it enhances every outfit and makes the perfect murtal combination.

Erlebnisregion Murtal: What connects you with the Murtal?

Murtal Region: I am as versatile as the Murtal. So many products can be made from me that please everyone. And so is the Murtal with so many faces.

Murtal Region: When do you feel the heartbeat in the Murtal?

Pinolit magnesite: When I am completed in my most beautiful form in the gemstone cutting workshop at Edelsteine Krampl. When cutting gemstones, the end result can never really be planned. Here the stone determines what comes out of it. It is always a very exciting affair how I shine in the end.

Murtal Region: What is your favourite place in the Murtal?

Pinolit Magnesit: High up in Hohentauern, because the air there is so incomparably good. But also in the showroom of Edelsteine Krampl, here I can relax wonderfully next to the splashing water of the indoor fountains.
