Organic viticulture in the Schilcherland. We are not the heirs of our fathers, but the tenants of our sons ....
Schilcher is the main grape variety on our vineyard.
The Neuberg is, as the name suggests, a younger Ried and is mentioned around the middle of the 16th century. At that time it belonged partly to Stainz and Plankenwarth. We took over the farm and made it our mission to continue its cultivation. Since 2009, our vineyards have been cultivated according to Demeter standards, which is GOOD for the plants, animals and especially for us.
Anyone who is concerned with the laws of a healthy life must deal with the life processes in the uppermost soil layer of our earth. We should not violate the laws of the natural order - of growth and decay - if we do not want to jeopardize our own existence. The cycle of health, which includes plants, animals and humans, leads us back to the earth. Keeping this cycle going is our top priority. The vineyard, transformed from a monoculture into a functioning ecosystem-vineyard, leads to living soil, healthy plants, healthy grapes!
