The lavender manufactory WUNSUM is a popular destination in the nature park Südsteiermark. Especially at the time of peak bloom, the scents, the varied shades of blue of the lavender rows, but also the many butterflies and bees inspire. Guided tours are possible by appointment.
On the organic farm WUNSUM different varieties of lavender are grown on an area of about 2 hectares. The lavender is further processed into more than 120 products, for cooking, aroma, well-being, essential oils or spirits directly on the farm.
The essential oils are also extracted at the farm by variety and are characterized by particularly high quality. Once a year, on the 1st weekend in July, local top vintners, restaurateurs with lavender specialties and artists celebrate the Lavender Festival with numerous guests from home and abroad.
