Vines have been cultivated on the farm of the Michi Lorenz Kitzeck winery for over 500 years. For almost 15 years now, Michi Lorenz has had his hand over the vines and tries with the best conscience to bring as much origin as possible into the glass. Together with his wife Michaela and with the active support of his parents Gerti and Hansi, he runs the family winery, which also includes a Buschenschank and guest rooms. Michi Lorenz cultivates a total of 16 hectares of vineyards, 80 percent of which are white wine and 20 percent red wine. His main grape variety is Sauvignon Blanc, for which he has already received numerous awards and high tasting points. But the Burgundy family (especially Chardonnay) as well as Welschriesling, Riesling and Muskateller are also among his top wines. The wines are vinified in the classic manner, i.e. primarily fresh, fruity and acidic, and mature in the newly built cellars in oak barrels as well as in modern stainless steel tanks. Modernity and tradition The complexity of winemaker Michi Lorenz and his wines is also expressed visually. The completely new design line since 2018 shows the new path of the winery. The four premium wines in the directly printed bottles attract particular attention. This new look skilfully combines the past and the future. Origin and tradition have always been of great importance to Michi Lorenz - these are reflected in the rural embroidery elements on the bottles and in the design. A reflection on old values and an emphasis on the originality of winemaking are in the foreground. The heart as a central element can be found everywhere and gives expression to his love of winemaking. Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)
