A quick trip to the other shore in Slovenia?
Brief historical background: The Mur ferry in Weitersfeld was once intended for "30 people, 7 head of cattle or a loaded agricultural cart". Nowadays, the last intact rolling ferry on the Mur, which is conveniently located directly on the Mur cycle path, is used more by cyclists. Suspended from a steel cable, passers-by are brought safely across the Mur to the other bank. In exceptional situations such as high and low water, the ferry does not run!
