Frauenthal Castle is a castle in the municipality of Deutschlandsberg in Styria. Its history goes back to the middle of the 16th century. Today it is owned by the Liechtenstein family. Among other things, it is possible to rent holiday flats in the castle.
Expanded to a noble residence in 1542 under Gall von Racknitz. Today's four-wing building was built by master builder Jakob Schmerlaib from Leibnitz for Ferdinand Count Zehentner. The castle contains a two-storey chapel dedicated to St. Joseph. Frauenthal Castle is privately owned and is partly used as a residence. There are also some private flats and holiday homes in the building. The castle is only open to the public during events.
