The former elementary school in the mountain village of St. Katharina in der Wiel, at 884 meters above sea level, offers a place to relax, unwind and enjoy! In the St. Katharina Stüberl you will be spoiled by the owner, Mrs. Manuela Onuk, with numerous culinary delicacies and can thus perfectly leave everyday life behind!
The St. Katharina Stüberl is located in the mountain community of St. Katharina in der Wiel and is housed in the former elementary school. The elementary school was closed in 2004 due to the fact that only 4 children were still attending school there.
Since 01.11.2023, Mrs. Manuela Onuk has now taken over the former elementary school and rebuilt and renovated it in cooperation with the market town of Wies. Since then, the St. Katharina Stüberl has been open in the middle of the mountain village and is very popular with visitors, especially due to its unique, quiet location and impressive views. Many cycling and hiking trails lead directly to St. Katharina in der Wiel, so you can take a break at the St. Katharina Stüberl.
On Sundays, Holy Mass is held in the immediate vicinity of the Stüberl, namely in the parish church. After mass, the Stüberl invites you to linger and enjoy a fun get-together. The Stüberl also has a guest room and a function room (space for up to 70 people), which can be used for celebrations and seminars of all kinds. The rooms can also be used for club celebrations and seminars outside of opening hours by prior arrangement by telephone. Furthermore, there are also two apartments on the upper floor, which invite you to relax!
