In the Mühlerei experience, you will immerse yourself in an exciting journey through the history of mills. The 3D cinema takes you on a three-dimensional journey from grain to bread. With the final bread tasting, the visit to the Traussner Mill becomes an experience with all the senses.
The Erlebnis Mühlerei is located in Ehrenhausen on the South Styrian Wine Route and was opened in 2017. In the manor house of the 400-year-old Traussner Mill, you will experience a multi-dimensional journey through the history of mills and agriculture. At the mill landscape table, you can observe the passing of the seasons on detailed mill models. The granary allows direct comparison of a wide variety of grains. Many of them are processed directly at the Traussner Mill into regional high-quality, natural products and can be purchased ex-farm at the mill. In the 3D cinema you are present when the grain throws the first buds and observe the farmer during the harvest. You can take a look at the mill head and the transmission of the mill and watch the miller at work. Finally, indulge your palate with a tasting of homemade fresh farmer's bread.
