Our winery in Mitteregg

We cultivate a total of 15 hectares of vineyards.
On the hills of the excellent sites Mitteregg and Nebenegg grow the grapes on the Sausal primary rock soils, which our wines their mineral-fresh and full character. The fruity varieties are vinified in the classic Styrian way as DAC regional wines and as terroir-typical DAC local wines Kitzeck-Sausal, the potential right vineyards are developed as DAC Riedenweine.

The special with our Medigon and Ried Nebenegg

The Ried Nebenegg is one of the best sites in the Sausal. Due to the steep slopes, the sunlight on the grapes is particularly strong. The site stretches for one kilometer along the ridge, lies at 430 m to 510 m above sea level and is oriented south-southeast. Our vineyards, which we cultivate in the Ried Nebenegg site, are 3 to 35 years young. The grapes for the Medigon line come from the Ried Nebenegg site and ferment and mature in wooden barrels for up to 24 months.
