An important pillar of our business is viticulture. Our family business has existed for over 200 years and from this time also the vineyard already dates. The two hectares of vineyards are located in the southernmost part of Styria, in Berghausen. Here our grapes ripen on a chalky southwestern slope.
Our ancestors had the vineyard worked by a winemaker, who in turn had the right to live in the winemaker's house. For about 30 years we have been cultivating the vineyard and vinifying the wines ourselves. Through the conversion of the old barn, the possibility arose to set up the winery on site. The grape juice is fermented in stainless steel tanks. Selected wines are stored in wooden barrels before being bottled. We also cultivate vineyards in Grubtal near Gamlitz and on the Kirchbergerberg in our home village of St. Veit.
