The medieval Deutschlandsberg Castle was developed into a fortress by the Salzburg archbishops. Archaeological finds provide information about life in the castle - eating and drinking, lighting and living culture. Wild animals, poultry, beavers and even brown bears were on the menu, as the discovered animal bones show.
