The Koralpenlauf was born in 2015 from the idea to breathe some life back into the sleepy mountain village of St. Oswald / Eibiswald. Over the years, it developed into a popular running event with a charitable background, which took place 5x in a row. After a creative break, the Koralpenlauf is now back. With a new board team, new ideas and a promise: The execution of this great running event in the usual high quality, and regionally and sustainably! As a unique event in the beautiful southwest of Styria, the Koralpenlauf offers a breathtaking landscape and optimal conditions for the participants. Challenging, but incredibly idyllic running and walking routes, a warm atmosphere and the best entertainment.
THE RUN The running event will be held in St. Oswald / Eibiswald. The start is at an altitude of 750 meters above sea level and is located at the foot of the Koralpe. Our running offer ranges from the children's run (U6/U8) for the very young, who have to master 400 meters, to the half marathon, where there are about 500 meters of altitude to run on 21.2 kilometers. The effort on the course around the Buchenberg is rewarded with a fantastic panorama and the fascination of "running" in the picturesque southwestern Styria.
The ARGE Koralpenlauf as a non-profit association also looks after those who do not have it so good in life. On the one hand, € 5 per participant is donated to regional social projects, on the other hand, since 2019 there is the Koralpenlauf emergency aid fund, with which people in need can be helped quickly and easily.
