A symbol of hope and optimism that invites you to linger, marvel and reflect.
The 8.4 meter high and 3.6 meter wide giant Easter egg is once again the highlight of the city centre this year and attracts numerous visitors. With a new, creative design every year, it delights young and old alike. Andrina Theißl and her team at Erlebnisgärtnerei are responsible for the 2025 design.
The egg of hope
The design of the impressive Easter egg traditionally remains a well-kept secret that is only revealed shortly before Easter. But Andrina Theißl gives a little foretaste: "Gold will play a central role this year - as a symbol of the sun and hope. By its very nature, gold radiates optimism, celebrates success and motivates people to get the best out of themselves." In a time characterized by uncertainty and conflict, the Easter egg is intended to be a sign of confidence and an appeal for a positive outlook on life. “The golden areas are intended to encourage us to look honestly in the mirror, to question ourselves and our actions and to start change with ourselves,” explains Theißl. The message: hope and reflection can be the key to a better way of living together.
