Retzhof-Preis für junge Literatur 2024

Award ceremony at Retzhof in cooperation with Jugend-Literatur-Werkstatt Graz

The Retzhof Prize for Young Literature is awarded for the tenth time as part of the Workshop for Young Literature, which honors outstanding projects from the circle of scholarship holders in a special way.

Around 20 of the more than 83 literary projects invited to the Workshop for Young Literature in previous years have now been published as books or are about to be published. These include the two projects that won the Retzhof Prize for Young Literature in 2015, Hool by Philipp Winkler (Aufbau Verlag 2016) and Koslik ist krank by Julia Rothenburg (Frankfurter Verlagsanstalt 2017). Lukas Rietzschel's novel Mit der Faust in die Welt schlagen, which was awarded the Retzhof Prize for Young Literature in 2016 and published by Ullstein in 2018, has caused quite a stir, particularly in Germany. Other recent publications include Echolot by Elisabeth Klar (Residenz Verlag 2017), Liebwies by Irene Diwiak (Deuticke 2017) and Alles was glänzt by Marie Gamillscheg (Luchterhand 2018), which were also invited to the workshop for young literature at Bildungshaus Schloss Retzhof.
