Slavko Avsenik's grandfather invented the Oberkrainer sound and wrote music history with it! Countless melodies from Avsenik's inexhaustible treasure trove of songs have become evergreens of popular music. Above all "Das Trompetenecho", one of the most frequently performed instrumental pieces in German-speaking music for decades and the title tune of the legendary "Musikantenstadl. The musical triumph of the "Original Oberkrainer" lasted almost half a century. In the 90s, the group withdrew from the stage. But the history of the Oberkrainer sound was far from over: SAšO Avsenik has been carrying on the musical legacy for 15 years now: likeable, authentic and full of traditional awareness!
