Tremmelberg Seckau - Willhuber - Kalvarienweg
“The adventure-packed”:
With the Tremmelberg and the “Turm im Gebirge” observation tower, you can hike to one of the most popular excursion destinations in the Murtal region directly from Seckau. The effort of the ascent is rewarded with a stunning view from the “Turm im Gebirge”.
Highlight: Tower in the mountains, Seckau Abbey
The trail initially leads along an asphalt road and takes you through the small town of Seckau, which has a centuries-long history shaped by the abbey. In the town center, numerous plaques tell the story of the individual buildings. After the Offenbacher hay bath, a forest road leads through the woods to the “Tower in the Mountains”. The path is informative with many information boards, a little steep but very entertaining. The effort of the ascent is rewarded with a stunning view from the “Turm im Gebirge”. Tip: Don't forget to pay € 2 for the turnstile at the tower.
Note that the tower is closed in winter from November to April!
