Since September 2012, the 1st St. Stefan private brewery of the family Köberl vlg. Hausmi brews its own beer.
The “Sankt Stefaner beer”, better known as “Hausmi beer”, came about more by accident, as Angelika Köberl explains: “Our husbands started brewing beer in the cellar more for fun. That was well received - and since 2012 we have had a brewery in the former stable building." The Hausmi-Hof in St. Stefan ob Stainz has specialized in its house beer: "The color of a Märzen, the taste is similar to a pilsner, but not as bitter and with a pleasant malt note,” describes Angelika Köberl. www.hausmi.at
The capacity of the brew kettle is designed for 300 liters and after 8 weeks of fermentation the beer is ready for bottling.It is sold in 25/30/50 liter kegs, but also in 2 liter bottles.Since March 2012, the 1st St. Stefaner Vollbier has been available as "Hausmi Bier" with 4.8% vol alc.The special "Reinischkogler beer" is also already ready for tasting.Beer brewer Angelika cordially invites you to a guided tour including tasting!
