Small St. Andrä round without major differences in altitude.
The first historical reference to the Sausal dates back to 977, when the forest "Susil" became the property of the Archbishopric of Salzburg.of the Archbishopric of Salzburg. Farmers cleared the forest through generations of hard work,drained the swampy valleys and ditches and planted vines on the bare, sunny mountain slopes.sunny mountain slopes. Sausal place names such as Reith, Greith, Neurath, Neudorf still remind us of this today.

Coming from the south, north, east and west on the A9 Phyrnautobahn - exit Hengsberg or Wildon - continue towards Preding - St. Andrä-Höch.
Variant 21a: The Small St. Andrä Round starts at the Dorfstüberl/church and continues towards Trollitsch past the Jaukhof in the direction of Rettenberg down to "Das Lercher" via Hofholz, Kleinreith and Reith back to the starting point in St. Andrä im Sausal.
After the hike, visit the world's largest Klapotetz on the Demmerkogel or enjoy the view from the Panoramasteg in the Sausal.
