LANDHAUS AUSTRIA is situated on the top of a one hectare plot of land surrounded by rolling hills in the southeast of Styria, where Austria, Hungary and Slovenia form a border triangle. The exclusively furnished country house is an ideal holiday domicile for relaxed and peaceful holidays.

The 250 year old main house (170 sqm large) has been extensively revitalized. The old charm has been retained and has been lovingly furnished with the latest technology and exquisite antiques. Two bedrooms with bathrooms en-suite and the spacious living area which merges into the kitchen is ideal for 4 persons. The 70 sqm large, loft-like outbuilding, the 'Presshaus', is completely made of wood and offers a wonderful panoramic view through the high window fronts on two sides. The core of the building is an approximately one hundred year old wine press, with a double bed integrated into the press floor. With a further bathroom with rain shower, toilet and sauna area, it offers generous space for 2 more people. The cosy garden with gravel terrace near the main house and the swimming pool (9 x 3 m with biological salt purification) with sun terrace at the press house connect the two buildings and create a peaceful atmosphere.

This gently hilly region, the volcanic country, where vineyards, sunflower fields, orchards and deciduous woods line up, is particularly scenic in spring and autumn and ideal for hiking, cycling and golf. Culinary delights include traditional Buschenschenken, traditional inns and exquisite gourmet restaurants. Numerous castles and palaces are defiant witnesses of past eras and worthwhile destinations for excursions.

Conditions

The rental price includes the rent for the whole property, for 4 to 6 persons as well as all energy costs, firewood for the fireplace, WiFi and the tourism tax. The house is completely equipped with bed linen, bath towels, bathrobes, pool towels, dish towels, cleaning agents, kitchen roll, napkins, etc. Also included is a twice weekly intermediate cleaning and the complete final cleaning.

Arrival

Coming from Vienna, take the Südautobahn A2 to the ILZ exit, take the Ilz exit, then turn left towards Fürstenfeld. After a few kilometres in the village of Großwilfersdorf, turn right at the traffic lights in the direction of Kräuterdorf Söchau. Follow the road to Söchau, then turn left in the direction of Fehring and continue to Übersbach. In Übersbach turn right towards Fehring (through Hatzendorf and Brunn to Fehring).

In Fehring stay on the bypass in the direction of Kapfenstein, Bad Radkersburg. Approx. 1 km after the end of the village turn left to Petzelsdorf (also Fachschule Schloss Stein).

As soon as you reach the sign for Petzelsdorf, turn right over a small bridge and continue uphill through the forest. After 2 km you will see the house Petzelsdorf 36 (old stone house) on the left side.

Coming from Graz, take the A2 South Motorway to the Gleisdorf Ost exit, then continue in the direction of Feldbach. In Feldbach continue in the direction of Fehring. In Fehringdie take the bypass in the direction of Kapfenstein, Bad Radkersburg. Approx. 1 km after the end of the village turn left to Petzelsdorf (also Fachschule Schloss Stein).

As soon as you reach the sign for Petzelsdorf, turn right over a small bridge and continue uphill through the forest. After 2 km you will see the house Petzelsdorf 36 (old stone house) on the left.

Room details

Landhaus Austria is an exclusive holiday home for 4 to 6 guests. The main house comprises the large living area with open fireplace, TV, music system and library and is open on two sides to the gravel terrace. The open kitchen area is fully equipped (ceramic hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, blender, bread cutter, Nespresso machine with Nespresso coffee taps, kettle and tea selection as well as the complete kitchen equipment). The adjoining utility room houses the refrigerator, washing machine and tumble dryer.

The main house also has an entrance area with guest toilet and two bedrooms. In one bedroom there is a further open fireplace and an exit to the garden and wine cellar (not included in the rent). Attached to the main house is the bathroom with bathtub, shower and toilet. In the second bedroom the bathroom with freestanding bathtub, rain shower and toilet is openly integrated. In both bedrooms there are flat TV sets with SAT programs.

The 70 sqm outbuilding "Presshaus" is designed as a pool house and relax zone and is electrically cooled or heated. The heart of the building is the old, original wine press, which is over 100 years old. The raised press floor has been romantically converted into a double bed and thus offers ample space for two additional guests. Through the glazing on two fronts one enjoys a wonderful view into the garden and the main house as well as into the hilly landscape. The Presshaus has a sauna area and a bathroom (rain shower and WC).

Of course, all bathrooms are equipped with bath towels, hand towels, bathrobes, hairdryer, toiletries from Vinoble Cosmetics, a very well-known South Styrian spa cosmetic brand based on the active ingredients of grapes.
