The Benedictine Abbey of Admont lies in the Gesäuse in Upper Styria, nestled in a rocky mountain valley. The oldest existing monastery in Styria is home to a unique gem, the world's largest monastic library, which has been fascinating visitors for centuries.
The Admont Abbey is the oldest existing monastery in Styria and is home to a unique gem, the world's largest monastic library. With the architecture, frescoes and sculptures, it is a true work of Baroque art from the second half of the 18th century and continues to fascinate every generation.
