You start directly at the Red Bull Ring - here you follow the tour in the direction of Sachendorf. Outside of major events, you can drive directly through the Ring area and up to the Schönberghof where you can enjoy a magnificent view over the entire race track. The route continues through a small wooded area along fields and forests. Part of the route is on a main road, but soon you turn left towards Seckau, this road is not very busy, but there are some climbs to do here. Once in Seckau, you can visit the Benedictine Abbey and make a culinary detour to the Hofwirt, which offers a fantastic guest garden. For coffee connoisseurs, the pastry shop Regner (a pastry world champion) invites you to take a break.
Continue now downhill towards Kobenz - directly after you have left Seckau on the first straight you must not overlook the turnoff Neuhofen, because here it would be fast downhill, but the tour via Neuhofen is far more beautiful and traffic-calmed. Along small farmsteads, settlements and crossroads, the route descends to Kobenz (beware that the very last stretch is quite steep downhill). Here you briefly follow the bike path along the federal highway and cross it at junction 71 - here you follow the signs - cross the highway and come to the floating bridge. A place that especially invites you to linger. You can sit on an integrated bench on this floating bridge and feel how the water flows - as if you were floating on the water yourself.
Afterwards, you continue on the Murradweg - one of the most beautiful bike paths in Austria - and follow it west to Großlobming. Here it pays to make a detour to the Hotel G'Schlössl Murtal. This restaurant & hotel is located in a beautiful complex with its own pond and park, for children there is a great playground and the terrace tempts you to linger. When you can tear yourself away again the tour leads you to the Zirbenland where you can visit Edelsteine Krampl - a company that specializes in the beautiful and high-quality processing of stones. Here you can look over the shoulder of the stonemason as well as the goldsmith.
Afterwards the way leads towards Zeltweg where the Steirerschlössl (2 hoods) is worth a visit, this wonderful restored art nouveau villa impresses with its flair and the park. In the immediate vicinity is the Cafe Wasserturm.
For further enjoyment, the next stop in Fohnsdorf - the Gabelhofen Castle, which is especially popular for weddings.
Then it's back to the starting point where you can still strengthen yourself in the foyer of the "Voestwing" - which is the main building at the Red Bull Ring.
