Water - the source of life. The loop is perfect for a moderate day hike.
Starting from Grafendorf near Hartberg, the Heilbründl circuit leads past two of the region's three castles (Reitenau and Kirchberg). Along the way, information boards provide information about the region, prominent places and history. A special feature is the Heilbründl in Seibersdorf, with excellent drinking water to replenish your water reserves.
The route is varied, leading through fields, forests, meadows and ravines, along streams. There are several places to stop for refreshments at the starting point and along the route.

The start of the approx. 14 km long, signposted tour is the main square in Grafendorf bei Hartberg. (or Park & Ride parking lot at the traffic circle on the B54, near the fire station)
- We head south past the Gruber bus company, the fire station and the ADEG Markt Kogler supermarket to Seibersdorf.
- In Seibersdorf we turn right into Reitenaustraße and then left at Hammerwaldbründl to Stambach.
- Here we come to a spring and the "Water - source of life" station,We follow the Stambach, cross wooden bridges and rest areas and reach the "Fememord" station.
- We continue until we reach the Reitenaustaße at the Waldpension Mara, which we cross.
- Here we turn right along the road to Grafendorf bei Hartberg and then turn left at the "Land an der Grenze" information board.
- We follow the Marbach for a while along the "Schloss Reitenau" information board until we reach a staircase, which we climb.
- Once we reach the top, we find the "Resettlement" information board and walk across meadows and through woods to the "Roman burial mounds" station.
- We follow this path, recognizing the contours of the burial mounds in the forest, and reach the information board "Roman Age Gravestones".
- At the vantage point, we enjoy a wonderful view of Grafendorf bei Hartberg, before we reach the information board "Römerzeitliche Gutshöfe" and see the fish pond in the background, with Kirchberg Castle.
- Now we pass the fish pond and a peacock aviary to the "Prehistory and early history" information board and continue our walk in the forest, where we cross the Hartberger Safen.
- We continue to the "Dangerous loop around the Ringkogel" information board before crossing fields to reach the dirt road.
- At the "The legend of the Masenberg" information board, we enter the forest and cross a ditch over a wooden bridge.
- At the edge of the forest, we find the information board "Earth's historical structure". Cross a meadow to reach a rest area and the information board "The village of Count Eckbert".
- At the water reservoir we enjoy a great view of Grafendorf bei Hartberg.Now we follow the path to Kirchberg Castle, where the "Schloss Kirchberg am Walde" information board provides information about the history of the castle and the "Land- und forstwirtschaftliche Fachschule" information board tells us about the school housed in the castle.
- After Kirchberg Castle, we come to the information board entitled "Der steirische Bauernhimmel VI" (Styrian Farmer's Heaven VI), on the right the forest path called "Himmelsstiege".
- We cross the Kirchbergbach stream over bridges and stairs and climb past the information board "Der steirische Bauernhimmel V" to Reibersdorf, where we come to the information board "Der Steirische Bauernhimmel IV".
- In Reibersdorf we find another information board "Der Koart'nspüler".
- We follow the road to Eichberg for a while, pass the "Da Suntogsjäger" information board and turn right at the "Der steirische Bauernhimmel III" information board.
- Now follow the Reibersbach stream over a few wooden bridges past the information boards "B I T T E!", "Der oststeirische Mistausführer" and "Der steirische Bauernhimmel II".
- At the information board "Die Höhle des schönen Karls" we see the Kleinlungitz railroad culvert, which we use.
- Then we keep left and follow the markings of hiking trail L5, passing the fish pond along the Kleine Lungitz.
- We keep right at a footbridge, use this bridge over the stream and follow trail no. 13.
- After crossing the railroad tracks, we keep left along the tracks to the train station and the Schöngrundner inn.
- From here, we follow the road to Wagendorf until we turn right off the road to the Hubertus Chapel.
- From the Hubertus Chapel, we walk under the power line and can already see Grafendorf bei Hartberg.
- Past a pasture, under the Wechselbundesstraße, past the former cold store, we return to the center of Grafendorf bei Hartberg.
As a route hike at Kirchberg Castle, continue via the Himmelsstiege, towards Reibersdorf, to Eichberg.
