Safental trail (Safental-Wanderweg)

A wonderful trail that offers a view all the way to Pöllauberg and the beautiful Pöllau Valley.
The starting point of the hiking tour is the center of St. Magdalena. The 7.7 km hike requires a bit of endurance.

Freeway A2 direction Graz - you take the exit Sebersdorf/ Bad Waltersdorf, then direction St. Magdalena.

From direction Graz:
Freeway A2 direction Vienna - you take the exit Sebersdorf/ Bad Waltersdorf, then direction St. Magdalena.

Start of the hiking route is in the center of the village St. Magdalena. Go in the direction of Unterbuch and at Grubberg you have to turn left, over Jungberg in the direction of Geiseldorf. Follow the railroad, then turn left. After a slight ascent you come to the Buschenschank Vogel. Continue hiking via Geier. Here you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Pöllauer Valley and Pöllauberg. Finally you return to the starting point in St. Magdalena.
  1. start in the center of St. Magdalena
  2. direction Unterbuch
  3. at Grubberg left, over Jungberg direction Geiseldorf
  4. along the railroad, then left
  5. after a slight ascent to Buschenschank Vogel
  6. continue via Geier (magnificent view of the Pöllau valley and Pöllauberg), back to the starting point
