Designated as natural monument, the gorge in St. Lambrecht is just a few minutes away from the monastery. A remnant of the ice-age, it is today an ecological gem, with exceptional rock and plant varieties. Display boards document the formation of the gorge and its special geological features.
The ideal time for a short hike is between April and October.
