Parish church of St. Oswald in Krakaudorf

Krakau

Today's parish church Krakaudorf was first mentioned as a chapel in 1234. In 1427 it was named as a church and in 1445 as a branch church of Ranten. In 1892 the Vicariate of St. Oswald was appointed a parish. The church was built in the 14th century.

The choir area was rebuilt by Franz Jager from 1759 to 1764. The north wall is the oldest part of the church, the wooden coffered ceiling with rosette pattern was donated by Georg von Liechtenstein in 1534. The St. Ulrich branch church in Krakauhintermühlen is a Styrian gem and houses a Gothic winged altar.
