The Rantenbach power plant of Murauer Stadtwerke is part of the regional production of renewable energy.
It was built between 2007 and 2009 as a diversion power plant. A penstock about one and a half kilometers long runs along the Rantenbach stream and ends approximately at the level of the provincial vocational school. Two Francis turbines are operated alternately in the powerhouse, depending on the amount of water available.
Appointment possible by appointment.
