The Stolzalpenkirchen is located on the southern slope of the Stolzalpe and was built in 1926 according to Martin Prangl. From Murau the church is about 7 km away.
The church on the Stolzalpe is the "Messkapelle zum Heiligen Erlöser auf der Stolzalpe". The tower of the Stolzalpen church grows out of the entire facade and the end is formed by an onion helmet. The roughcast was designed with uncolored natural plaster. On the altar wall there is a fresco painted by the academic painter Prof. Franz Köck. It depicts the figure of Christ with stigmata surrounded by the sick.
The church is freely accessible at all times.
