The Grebenzen ski area is on the right.

Arrival from Eastern Austria/HungaryAt the motorway junction in St. Michael near Leoben, take the S 36 towards Klagenfurt. Past Knittelfeld and Judenburg to Scheifling. In Scheifling continue towards Klagenfurt to Neumarkt, via Unzmarkt and Perchau am Sattel you reach Neumarkt. Turn right there towards Mariahof and St. Lambrecht. In Mariahof, after the railway crossing, turn left towards St. Lambrecht. The Grebenzen ski area is on the left.

Arrival from southern Austria/ItalyVia Klagenfurt on the S 37 past St. Veit/Glan, Treibach and Friesach. In Friesach continue towards Vienna, via Dürnstein and Wildbad to Neumarkt. After the town center of Neumarkt turn left towards Murau, in Mariahof turn left after the railway crossing towards St. Lambrecht. The Grebenzen ski area is on the left.

From the Grebenzen valley station, walk along the left edge of the piste to the edge of the forest. There you first climb along a wider forest path and then along a narrow, wooded path towards Engelsbrunnen. Immediately after this high point, continue up to the left along the snowshoe trail (not via the toboggan run/station path!). This section is quite steep in places, but it's worth it when you arrive at the Maria Schönanger pilgrimage church! Descent via the same path. Alternatively, you can go to the chairlift mountain station and across the street (sometimes without snowshoes).
