Family-friendly cycle route through the Wölz Valley.
This cycle tour promises fantastic views around Oberwölz.
The easy route leads from Scheifling directly alongside the main road to the historic town of Oberwölz, with one or two places to sit and enjoy the views along the way. Once in Oberwölz, inns and cafés invite you to enjoy culinary delights. If you want to make your day even more adventurous, there are numerous excursion destinations to choose from.

By car from Germany
From Munich via the A8 towards Salzburg. From Salzburg on the A10 Tauernautobahn to St. Michael im Lungau. Take the B 96 to Tamsweg, then continue on the B 95 to Predlitz. The B 97 leads via Stadl/Mur to Murau. At the traffic circle go straight on towards Teufenbach/Scheifling.
Arrival from Eastern Austria/Hungary
At the highway junction in St. Michael bei Leoben, take the S 36 towards Klagenfurt. Drive past Knittelfeld and Judenburg to Scheifling.
Arrival from southern Austria/Italy
Via Klagenfurt on the S 37 past St. Veit/Glan, Treibach and Friesach. In Friesach continue towards Vienna, via Dürnstein and Wildbad towards Neumarkt. Keep left in Neumarkt. You will reach Scheifling via the Perchauer Sattel.
The Wölzer Cycle Path starts in Lind near Scheifling on the Mur Cycle Path Idyllically nestled at the foot of the Wölzer Tauern, you cycle through the Wölzer Valley and Oberwölz. The cycle route ends in Winklern for the time being.
The ideal time for this tour is from May to October.
