The starting point of this educational and family-friendly hike is the lakeside parking lot at the diving service in Gößl. Here the road is crossed and you are at the beginning of numerous walking and hiking opportunities.
After about 100 meters on the wide path, you turn right into a forest road and find the sign "Kräuterrundweg". This is hiked in a clockwise direction.
Slightly ascending you walk on this road towards the east, upstream the Stimitzbach. After about one kilometer, the herbal circular path branches off to the right.
Now the trail leads down a narrow path, at the end of which a bench invites you to take a break. (Attention: surefootedness is required here!). The trail continues across a meadow through the sparse edge of the forest and then crosses the Stimitzbach stream over a footbridge.
It goes straight on for a short distance, then turns left onto another forest road, along which there are numerous information stations. After about one kilometer, the circular trail turns right immediately after a hut, where there is also a noteworthy memorial that documents an avalanche accident in 1738.
The path now rises briefly, becomes narrower and leads steeply downhill to the Ranftl mill. This is dedicated to the painter and portraitist Matthias Ranftl.Passing the mill and continuing on the hiking trail for about 200 meters, you turn left and shortly after reach the starting point.
