Calvary Chapel with Stations of the Cross
The chapel is located northeast of the village on a hilltop. On the way there are four small wooden chapels distributed as stations of the cross, in which simple but characteristic carved groups are set.
The chapel was built around 1700, but was already in decay 50 years later. As can be seen from an episcopal letter, the main part of the cost of restoration is borne by a Krakaudorf farmer, who donates 60 guilders and a canvas.
Chapel:
The Calvary Chapel in need of renovation is a brick, open niche chapel with a protruding, wooden roof. There are small wooden doors on the sides. The chapel is furnished, among other things, with a life-size, crude calvary cross group. The folk carving was created around 1700. At the feet of the group there are arched candlestick arms with six candle holders each. St. Magdalena kneeling in front of the cross, St. Mary and St. John standing. Some reverse glass pictures, St. Joseph with child from the 18th century and a resurrected one - these are the other furnishings of the place of worship. Purgatory is shown on a wooden panel at the altar table.
Chapels of the Cross:
The four chapels are rectangular, with pointed gables and lattice bars. The first station shows Christ's prayer on the Mount of Olives. An angel comes towards the kneeling figure of Christ with a chalice and cross, three disciples lie on the ground. At the second station, Christ can be seen on the scourge column, the third shows his mockery through three figures. The fourth station shows how Christ takes up the cross. The figures are made of wood and date from the late 18th century.
