The Burgerlhütte, an old wooden log cabin from 1943, was carefully rebuilt in June 2005 near the farm and in a sunny location. It was completely renovated and equipped with the most modern comforts. It offers space for 4 people.
At 1.240 m above sea level, you can enjoy the magnificent panoramic view of the Mur valley from the terrace, as well as of the opposite mountain ranges from the Rappold to the Zirbitzkogel and towards the Hohe Tauern. There are cosy spots around the hut that invite you to linger and recharge your batteries.
When you enter the Burgerlhütte, you come into a glazed veranda, further into the modern equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave and refrigerator, which is located directly next to the cosy living room. SAT-TV and free internet connection are available. A wood cooker in the kitchen provides all rooms with cosy warmth. The sanitary area with separate WC is also on the ground floor. A wooden spiral staircase leads to two cosy bedrooms with solid wood furniture, one of them with a balcony.
Relaxation in the fresh air and in the surrounding nature is guaranteed. Enjoy the pleasant tranquillity on walks and hikes. We will gladly show you your favourite hiking routes and take a break at one of the alpine huts. Fishing in the nearby fish pond and a barbecue complete the offer.
In winter, you can start an avalanche-safe ski tour directly from the hut. In the village (approx. 7 km) there is a ski lift with snow-making equipment and floodlights for night skiing. Experience the organic farm of the Mayerdorfer family up close. On request, there is the possibility to help with looking after the animals or to engage in other amusements. You can purchase the fresh, home-grown products such as milk, eggs, etc. directly.
