‘The mysterious Count of Saint Germain and a murder in aristocratic circles’
How the notorious nobleman stirred up Viennese high society and became involved in a crime The Count of Saint Germain is considered one of the most enigmatic personalities in history. He loved to keep his counterparts in the dark about his own person. He claimed to have lived forever and to have met Moses, Caesar and Columbus. The enterprising adventurer was a master at describing experiences from times long past as vividly as if he had actually been there.
This enabled him to gain access to high society events without much effort, where he then went in search of sponsors to finance his lavish lifestyle. Saint Germain is once again in Vienna and is a guest in a noble Viennese palace at a small celebration organised by Count Heinrich von Luisenburg to mark his engagement to Baroness Dorothea von Salamanca. There he also meets Maria Christina, a daughter of Maria Theresa. During the course of the evening, these four people discover the murdered Count Alfonso de Marco, whose discovery is initially kept secret.
However, the small group quickly realises that only one of them could have killed the man because the other guests had not left the palace during the relevant period. But who did it? And why did the aristocrat have to die? Guests at the Mystery Dinner are given an insight into a mysterious story about the mysterious revenant in Vienna. Then it's time to join in the guessing, because the murderer of Count Alfonso de Marco is being sought! You can win one of Gabriele Hasmann's exciting works.
