Almenland cross-country ski trails

Fladnitz an der Teichalm

In the Almenland Nature Park in Eastern Styria there is a small but fine cross-country skiing area that makes the hearts of all athletes beat faster. Because here you can not only run your laps in a very relaxed way, but at the same time explore the wintry alpine landscape while the sun shines on your face. The total of 21 kilometers of cross-country trails have been awarded the "Styrian Cross Country Seal of Approval".

The sunny trails between Teichalm and Sommeralm in the Almenland Nature Park are very popular cross-country trails in Styria. Because in addition to a sweeping view of the region, they also offer excellent accessibility: you only need an hour from the provincial capital Graz to the white winter paradise.

A total of 21 kilometers offer cross-country skiers classic running and skating. Of these 18 kilometers are classified as easy, the remaining 3 kilomteres have a medium difficulty. There are two different Almenland cross-country trails. The equipment rental of the Reisinger snow sports school is located directly at the Teichalmsee. The three trails are divided between:

  • Sommeralm trail (skating & classic, circular route with approx. 16 km)
  • Hochmoor trail (skating & classic, circular route with approx. 5 km, snowmaking available)

For cross-country beginners there is also the opportunity to take private lessons at the Reisinger snow sports school on site. You can learn this versatile sport personally and individually. And with the finest cuisine in the immediate vicinity, even the most beautiful day of cross-country skiing ends successfully.
