Directly on the Teichalmsee there is the "green energy park for families" which was created by the Almenland nature park, the municipality of Fladnitz and Energie Steiermark. Here children and families can experience an interactive journey of discovery all about renewable energy.
The energy park on the Teichalm was built in 2018. Children learn how to use renewable energy in a playful way. The energy park was built from local wood in the immediate vicinity of the Almgasthof Hotel Teichwirt and the Teichalmsee. Many questions about power generation are asked and answered here. Children and parents alike can put their knowledge to the test at many play and quiz stations. Interactive stations such as the "power plant puzzle" or the "generate electricity using your own muscle power" round off the journey of discovery. A small hydropower plant can also be visited.

The energy park can be visited from May to October.
