At the Ponsold family in Hohenau near Passail you can learn a lot about the Urarlte Aronia Beeere, stroll through the orchards and then taste the numerous products made from the miracle berry. These products can then be bought in the farm shop.
The aronia berry, the miracle berry, is a very old fruit that has been rediscovered in recent decades. Hermi and Edi Ponsold have dedicated themselves to this miracle berry for a number of years. In 2014 the planting took place on two hectares with 8,000 bushes. The company is located at 820 m above sea level in Hohenau an der Raab, in the middle of the Almenland nature reserve. In addition to the aronia berries, herbs thrive on the farm and ALMO oxen graze on the home pastures. The aronia products are then sold in the farm shop, where there are juices, syrups and liqueurs as well as spice mixes, teas, fruit spreads, chocolates, muesli bars and much more!
