The Stefaniequelle in St. Ruprecht an der Raab offers a special place of rest and relaxation - a lovingly designed place of power.
This spring, which has been known for centuries, is located in the so-called forest park and invites you to linger in the middle of the forest and at this historical power place of the Stefanie spring we reflect on the importance of water for us humans. People have been making pilgrimages to this spring since the 18th century in order to relieve their eye ailments through external washing and to maintain eye health. The humic acid contained in the forest spring could be responsible for this. The source in its current form was built more than 40 years ago, lovingly renovated a few years ago and in 2020, and is now a popular destination for guests who walk along the “Burgthannerweg” and Hans Pendl wood carving path “7 places 7 Treasures ” looking for peace and relaxation. The wood relief made of linden wood was made by Hans Pendl. In keeping with the theme of water, Hans Pendl depicts a woman's head (depending on the interpretation, St. Catherine or Stefanie) with a drop of water.
