A Mee(h)r of fruit and rolling hills APFELLAND-STUBENBERGSEE In the middle of eastern Styria, more precisely in the region of ApfelLand-Stubenbergsee, lies the largest orchard in Austria.
The apple stands here above all as a symbol of a long tradition in fruit growing. The land around the "holy Rigi", as the almost thousand meter high Kulm is also called, was already popular with the Celts. Archaeological excavations on the Kulm, which are reflected in the specially built Kulmkeltendorf, bear witness to this. Later it was the Romans who cultivated wine on this fertile soil.
Following in their footsteps, the East Styrian Roman Wine Route invites you on a culinary voyage of discovery.
In the tourist office you will find all information such as brochures and leaflets about accommodations in ApfelLand, excursion destinations, hiking and biking tours, events and much more. We are happy to help you with any questions you may have, so that you can enjoy a wonderful and relaxing vacation.
