A beautiful hike through woods and meadows, partly along a small stream, which leads around the Vorau Canons' Monastery in the Joglland - Waldheimat region.

On this path, near Vorau Abbey, there are several resting places in the forest where you can enjoy nature and tranquillity. All in all, this is a romantic walk through the Brühl, along the Vorau stream and is particularly suitable for a family outing or a short walk in Vorau.

The starting point of the walk, Vorau Abbey, would be worth a visit in itself. Especially the library and the sacristy in the only still active canonical monastery in Styria are well worth seeing. Special guided tours are also offered for children and school groups.

A special tip for families is the Urkraft Arena in the immediate vicinity of Vorau Abbey: there is a large playground, an exercise park and a pump track to discover.

Vorau is located in the East Styrian hill country at an altitude of between 470 and 1248 meters.

By car:
From Vienna: A2 exit Pinggau - Rohrbach-Vorau

From Graz: A2 exit Pinkafeld or Hartberg - Rohrbach - Vorau

We start our walk into the Brühl at Vorau Abbey and walk through the avenue of fruit trees to the Hofmühle. There we branch off to the right and already enter the Brühl
We walk along the water to the barbecue station and over the short hill of Schafleitn back to Vorau Abbey.

This tour into the Brühl is especially recommended on warm days, as it is shady and cool there.
